This four piece Sew-Retro Clean & Shine kit includes 2oz of cleaning compound, 4 oz of polish, a micro fiber buffing cloth and also a handy black light for inspecting the clear coat on your vintage sewing machine. This polishing kit can be used on any japanned or painted sewing machine. Please watch the 'how to' video below.
Note: The black light will help illuminate compromised areas in the clear coat. Since it is impossible to know what environments, chemicals, cleaning agents, etc your old sewing machine has been exposed to over the years, it is always wise to find an inconspicuous spot and sample a very small area first. Work slowly little by little to make sure it does not have any reactions. Even previous exposure to extreme heat and cold weather conditions can affect how the surface will react.
